Who are the Fundy Silverados?

We are a group of guys who are members of the Sussex and Area Seniors’ Centre. We get together every Tuesday morning at 9:30 for fun and friendship. Or arrive early around 9 AM and listen to the fiddle, banjo, organ, guitar and singing.

Our meetings usually last one and a half hours. We start out singing “Oh Canada” and have a guest speaker at most meetings who talk and answer questions about topics of interest . We have a Fines Master who cajoles members to pay $.25 for dastardly deeds that has been noticed by him and/or others. Members sometimes bring in objects to be auctioned off for a very reasonable price. We adjourn our meetings with the singing of “The Queen.”

We also have dinners and other activities with our spouses/companions throughout the year.

Our Mission Statement

“To enhance the Quality of life for members through fellowship and the helping of others in need.”

Fundy Silverado membership fees are $60.00 annually and can be paid in three monthly installments.  This also entitles you to membership in the Sussex and Area Seniors Centre.

The membership votes on what local charities should receive any extra funds we may have.
